Connecting a Windows Personal Computer to the C2 Printers
Printers can now be mapped on personal devices connected to the C2Edu_Guest network. You will need to get the IP address of the printers from your CD or EC. They should have a document containing the printer information.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
You will need to download the Kyocera Printer drivers to your personal machine before completing the below steps.
You can download the drivers from this link: https://www.kyoceradocumentsolutions.eu/en/support/downloads.html.name-L2V1L2VuL3ByaW50ZXJzL0VDT1NZU1AzMTUwRE4=.html
Please download the KX Universal Print Driver
Steps to connect the printer:
- Go to your start menu and search for Printer
- Select Printers & Scanners from the results
- Click Add Device
- The computer will search for a bit then provide you with an option that says "the printer that I want isn't listed". Select "Add a new Device Manually"
- On the menu that opens up select Add a printer using an IP address or Hostname
- Click Next
-
Set Device type to TCP/IP Device and enter the IP address from the top of this document for the two fields
- Click Next
- It should then prompt you to pick a printer driver. Select Kyocera on the left hand side and select the generic driver you installed before completing these steps.
- After you pick a driver you will need to name the printer. It will default to the name of the driver (KX Universal Print Driver) Be sure to rename it to something that you can locate later.
